Our puppies are socialized from the minute they are born until they leave to live with their new families. Our puppies are born in the whelping crate in our home, where they stay until they are a couple of weeks old. From there they are moved to a nursery box in the laundry. This gives them ample room to play, strengthen their legs and walk around. At 4 - 5 weeks they are put outside in the puppy enclosure where they is plenty of room for active growing pups. Here they learn good toileting habits and are still socialized with human contact through out the day. I start to supplement their feeds between 3-4 weeks and they are able to be weaned at 6 weeks, but they will always try to pinch a drink off one of the mums. They are ready to leave home at around 8 weeks. The puppies will have been wormed fortnightly since they were three weeks old. They will have received a full vet check and given their first vaccination (they need two more to be fully protected). Purchasers are welcome to contact our vet if there are any concerns. |
